The Pepsi Center WTC is one of the most prominent concert and event venues in Mexico City. I led the digital transformation of their web platform, moving from a rigid legacy system to a dynamic, high-performance site designed to handle high-traffic event launches.
Role: Lead Web Developer & Analytics.
Tech Stack: Webflow (CMS), Javascript, SEO, Custom Api Integrations
The original site was built using a legacy stack (HTML, CSS, PHP, and Vanilla JS) that created significant bottlenecks:
Operational Friction: The marketing team couldn't update the concert billboard independently; every change required manual code updates, slowing down time-to-market for new events.
Scalability & SEO: The old structure had poor SEO performance and struggled with the traffic spikes that occur when major concerts are announced.
UX Debt: The mobile experience was outdated, making it difficult for users to find event details and ticket links quickly.
CMS Empowerment: Migrated the entire event infrastructure to Webflow Collections. This allowed the marketing team to launch new events in minutes instead of hours, with zero reliance on the dev team for content updates.
SEO Optimization: Restructured the site’s architecture and metadata, resulting in better indexing and higher organic visibility for trending concert keywords.
Performance: Improved load times and mobile responsiveness, ensuring the site remained stable and fast during high-traffic "on-sale" windows.
